Jie is a prolific and impactful researcher who has made significant research contributions across multiple areas related to advanced materials and energy that have opened up new avenues of exploration. He is an integral part of the MANE department and Rensselaer community serving as a steward of our Nuclear Engineering curriculum as ABET Director, collaborating and building teams across the institute, and mentoring our junior faculty. Jie is an excellent teacher who has made important updates to the nuclear engineering curriculum to provide our students with the most up-to-date technology. We congratulate Jie on this highly deserved recognition.
